Practice Expectations
Musical growth depends on consistent practice. Regular practice develops skills, builds confidence, and enhances their overall enjoyment of playing their instrument. Here’s how you can help support their success:

-
Daily Practice: Encourage your child to practice at least 15 minutes per day, 5–6 days a week. Consistency is key!
-
Dedicated Space: Help them find a quiet, distraction-free area to focus on their music.
-
Set Goals: I always tell students what to practice to prepare for the next rehearsal. Ask your child what is expected of them and help them meet their weekly practice goals.
-
Be Encouraging: Celebrate their progress and effort—your enthusiasm means the world to them!
-
Stay Informed: Ask them to show you what they’re working on in class and share their learning.

No Time or Space at Home? No problem. Students are welcome to practice at school during FLEX time. Encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity to keep up their progress.
With your support, we can create a positive and productive practice routine that prepares your musician for success. Thank you for being an important part of their musical journey!
